Happy March 1st!

The most effective way to do it, is to do it. —Amelia Earhart

I don’t know about where you live, but here in north GA, it’s been the rainiest and gloomiest winter. There have been a handful of sunny days in the past 3 months and each of those days, you suddenly don’t take the brightness and warmth for granted.

The weather has warmed up a bit which has caused some of our trees to start blooming with first hints of spring around the corner. And I am so ready for spring to come! The first day of spring is this month (the 20th!)

It’s also Women’s History Month, so don’t forget to thank the influential women in your life on the 8th!

I hope your days ahead are full of warmth and sunshine!

A few fun holidays in March:

3.1 National Employee Appreciation Day

3.5 Fat Tuesday

3.8 International Women’s Day

3.11 National Napping Day

3.12 National Plant a Flower Day

3.17 St. Patrick’s Day

3.20 First Day of Spring

3.22 National Puppy Day

Wallpaper Wednesday: Consider how the wildflowers grow

I hope you enjoy this weeks Wallpaper Wednesday!

In honor of the first official week of Spring, I decided to go with this verse from Luke 12:27 that begins with "Consider how the wildflowers grow." This verse is talking about trusting the Lord and having faith that He will provide for you. I love this picture of wild flowers.

Taking what this verse says to consider them, I thought about it for a minute, and how I've dabbled in gardening, and I can say that I have killed an unfortunate amount of plants. But even after the longest and coldest winters, wild flowers will come back and bloom even in the more harsh conditions. They are delicate and beautiful, yet strong.

I like what the Message version says "If God gives such attention to the wildflowers, don't you think He'll attend to you , take pride in you, and do His best for you?" (MSG 12:28)

So next time you see some wild blooms, take some time to consider the wildflowers.

Springtime is the land awakening. The March winds are the morning yawn.
